Nebraska’s bid for an 8th win and a home victory over Iowa fell short, as the Huskers lost 40–16 in the 410th consecutive sellout at Memorial Stadium. The Huskers finish the regular season 7–5 (4-5 Big Ten). Emmett Johnson shone again with a career-high 217 rushing yards and a touchdown. It was his fifth straight 100-yard game. However, his Huskers were shut out in the second half and struggled to stop the run, allowing 213 yards and four scores. Big Red now waits to learn its bowl destination.
